Ms. Lara Brittain Lecture
March 31, 2015
Lecture hosted by CNU ACDA and led by Ms. Lara Brittain, Choral Director at Forest Park High School in Woodbridge, Virginia. Ms. Brittain has been the choral director of Forest Park since 2001. Previously, she assisted at Hylton High School, also in Woodbridge, Virginia. Ms. Brittain has both Masters and Bachelors degrees in music.
Dr. Deen Entsminger Workshop
November 15, 2014
Workshop hosted by CNU ACDA and led by Dr. Deen Entsminger, Professor of Music at Belmont University School of Music. He has taught in the School of Music since 1988 and currently coordinates the undergraduate music education program, directs the Belmont Chamber Singers, teaches courses in music theory, private composition, secondary choral methods, first-year seminar, mentors students in the undergraduate honors and graduate music education program. Dr. Entsminger earned a Ph.D. in Music Education from the Florida State University, a Master of Music in Composition from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Bachelor of Music Education from Shenandoah Conservatory of Music.
Dr. Rachel Holland Workshop
Spring 2014
Workshop hosted by Dr. Rachel Holland, professor of Voice, Vocal Literature, and Vocal Pedagogy at Christopher Newport University. Dr. Holland discussed the physiology and anatomy of the voice for all who depend on their voice as a part of their careers. This includes teachers, performers, and anyone who is involved in public speaking. She shared with us important information concerning how to care for one's voice, healthy vocal habits, and the science of vocal health.
